2010年、MIDORINOMARUとして活動開始。2013年より、NiKA (piano)と三星章紘 (drums) 、2人編成での活動を続けるインストバンド。ピアノとドラムという最小限の編成とは全く思えない、その圧倒的な音楽と演奏クオリティーの高さを武器に、日々、全国各地の音楽好きのハートを掴んでいる。まさに音を「楽しむ」べく用意された珠玉の楽曲の数々、聴いているうちに、心躍らずにはいられない。これまでに、1stアルバム「no logic」、2ndアルバム「GOOD MORNING」、3rdアルバム「SUN」、4thアルバム「Ready?」最新アルバム「NEW DAY 」(2020.05.04リリース)の5枚のアルバムを 発表。また、舞台や企業などへの楽曲提供など、活動は多岐にわたる。2021年リリースの『MELLOW 』から約2年振りとなる7枚目『ロマンティック』を2023年にリリース。今までのサウンドも残しつつ深みを増したサウンド、アンサンブルにも注目だ。
In 2010, MIDORINOMARU began their musical journey. Since 2013, this instrumental band has been performing as a duo consisting of NiKA on piano and Akihiro Mitsuboshi on drums. Despite their minimal setup of just piano and drums, their music and performance quality are nothing short of overwhelming, captivating music lovers all across the country. Their collection of exquisite tracks is designed purely for the joy of music, and it's impossible to listen without feeling your heart dance.
They have released five albums to date: their debut album "no logic," followed by "GOOD MORNING," "SUN," "Ready?," and their latest album "NEW DAY" (released on May 4, 2020). Their activities extend beyond just albums, including composing for stage performances and corporate projects. After approximately two years since their 2021 release "MELLOW," they unveiled their seventh album "Romantic" in 2023. The album retains their signature sound while adding a new depth, so be sure to pay attention to the enhanced sound and ensemble.
